
Ray Sass is employed with SARCAN Recycling as a Regional Manager for southeast Saskatchewan. Previous to this position, Mr. Sass was employed for 25 years as an Operations Manager with a non-profit corporation. During that time, Mr. Sass initiated numerous recycling endeavours with the City of Yorkton.
Mr. Sass has been a trustee with the Good Spirit Board of Education for 10 years and was Chairperson for eight of those years. As part of the school board, Mr. Sass has served on numerous committees representing the Good Spirit School Board and the Saskatchewan School Boards Association. His most recent Board appointment was to the Municipal Employees Pension Plan.
In February 2012, Mr. Sass obtained the Chartered Director (C.Dir.) designation from The Directors College (a joint venture of McMaster University and The Conference Board of Canada).
Mr. Sass is also an active Board member in the Anglican Church of Canada on a local, provincial and national level. He is Vice-President of the Saskatchewan Civil Air Search and Rescue Association and a member of the National Civil Air Search and Rescue Association Board of Directors. Other interests include motorcycling, snowmobiling and daily walks enjoying nature.
