What is the role of the Vital Statistics Registrar?
The Vital Statistics Registrar has been appointed under
The Vital Statistics Administration Transfer Act and is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Vital Statistics Registry.
The Vital Statistics Act, 2009, requires the Registrar to approve access and maintain control over authorized personnel accessing Vital Statistics information.
Specifically, the Registrar of Vital Statistics is responsible for:
- Supervising the operation of the Vital Statistics Registry;
- Supervising persons employed or engaged in the operation of the Vital Statistics Registry; and
- Maintaining records in the Vital Statistics Registry.
What is the role of the ISC Privacy Officer?
ISC’s Privacy Officer is responsible to receive and address privacy related complaints and concerns associated with the Vital Statistics Registry.
