Manage My Profile

This function allows you to update your contact information. Contact information is used primarily as input for the online metadata entry form (the 'Create Metadata' function applicable to users with Publisher access) to populate the metadata distribution and contact information fields.

As a user of the portal you can update the following information in your Profile:
  • First Name
  • Last Name
  • Short Organization Name
  • Full Organization Name
  • Organization Profile
  • Address Type (mailing, physical, or mailing and physical)
  • Address
  • City
  • State/Province
  • Postal Code
  • Country
  • Phone Number
  • Fax Number
  • Email Address
  • Website Address

To update your Profile, click on Manage my Profile to view your Profile, add new text or change existing text in each field using standard Work Processing conventions, and click on Save.

NOTE: For registered users, to allow us to fulfill your download requests only a valid email address is required. For publishers, all fields are required.


Change Password

You must be logged in to change your password. To change your password:

  1. Click on Change Password from the 'Login' area.
  2. Enter your existing password in the 'Old Password' field.
  3. Enter your new password in the 'New Password' field.
  4. Re-type your new password in the 'Retype New Password' field.
  5. Click the Change Password button and the page refreshes.
Your password is now changed.


Manage My Searches

Click on Manage my Searches to link to a window that lists all the searches you have previously stored. Note that the stored searches consist of query definitions, not the actual search results themselves. Click on the query definition you wish to delete, load or execute to highlight it. Click on Delete if you wish to delete the highlighted query definition. Click on Load if you wish to load the highlighted query definition. Click on Run if you wish to run the highlighted query definition.

NOTE: You can maintain up to 10 stored query definitions at any one time.


Manage My Maps

Click on Manage my Maps to link to a window that lists all the maps you have previously stored. Click on the stored map you wish to view or delete to highlight it, and then click on View to view the highlighted map or Delete to delete the highlighted map from your saved maps list.

NOTE: You can maintain up to 10 maps at any one time.  If you wish to save more than 10 maps you may do so by clicking on the Save icon in the Map Viewer and selecting Create Map Link. You can then copy and paste the link into a word processing program for easy retrieval.
