Change of Ownership Transactions

A change of ownership occurs when a title is transferred from one person or entity to another and a new title(s) results. There are several types of change of ownership transactions, some are voluntary and others, involuntary. The most common change of ownership transactions are as follows:
  • Single Title Transfer
  • Surrender/Setup Transfers (Multiple Title Transfer)
  • Transfer to Surviving Joint Tenant
  • Transmission on Death or Bankruptcy
