Request for Copy of Original Land Grant - Instructions

Section A – Applicant Information

Complete the Applicant Information section filling in as much information as applicable.
  • Client Name (Last, First are mandatory),
  • Client Address (required for mail delivery),
  • Phone Number (mandatory),
  • Email address (required for e-mail delivery).

    Note: Please fill in as much applicant information as possible. This will allow us the opportunity to contact you if we have any questions regarding your request.

Section B – Request Information

Complete the Request Information section by completing at least one of the following:
  • Complete the Land Description field by entering the land description of the grant you are requesting a copy of. While only 1 grant can exist for a given piece of land, it is not uncommon for more than one grant to be issued for a given quarter section if the quarter was subdivided at the time the land was granted. Therefore, to help us serve you better, please also provide us with a Grantee Name, if possible, to help us narrow the search.
  • Complete the Grantee Name field by entering the full name of the person or corporation the grant was issued to. It is not uncommon for more than one grant to be issued in a given name. Therefore, to help us serve you better, please also provide us with a land description, if known, to help us narrow the search.

    Note: Please complete a separate Request for Copy of Original Land Grant form for each grant requested.

    We can only process those searches that can be completed based on the description given above. If you have any additional information that can help us locate a specific grant, please enter it in the Additional Information box. We will NOT satisfy any requests that require a historical search to be completed before we can determine the requested grant. Note:  To request a copy of a Grant printed on Letter-size paper, please use the Manual Search and/or Certification form.

Section C – Method of Output and/or Delivery

Select the applicable Method of Output & Delivery box.
One or all boxes can be selected but you will be charged for each request selected. Grants are available in B&W or Colour and can be provided in either a print or digital file format:

    1. White Paper Print (black & white) – mail delivery ($33.00)
    2. Black & White Digital File - E-mail delivery ($8.00)
    3. Full Colour Paper Print – mail delivery ($53.00)
    4. Full Colour Digital File on CD – mail delivery ($33.00)

 To request certification for a fee of $10.00, please select the ‘Certified Copy’ box.  Only White Paper Print and Full Colour Paper Print are available for certification.

Note: *Fees indicated above include applicable taxes.

Section D – Method of Payment

Complete one of the Method of payment options.
  • If attaching a cheque to your application, please select the Cheque box and enter amount in the Amount box. ISC does not accept foreign currency in the form of cash, cheque, or money order. 
  • If you already have an ISC account, please enter Client Number, Account Number and the Account Password (if applicable).
Note: Sufficient funds must be available at the time of processing.

Note: If your Request for Copy of Original Land Grant involves more than one method of output & delivery– e.g. both a full colour print (mailed) and a digital file on CD (mailed) - then both fees will apply.
