Continue an Extra-Provincial Business Corporation into Saskatchewan
In order to continue your business corporation into Saskatchewan via the Corporate Registry application you will need to know your:
Reserved Business Name (Reservation Number)
- Alternatively, you may select a numbered corporate name.
- You must also know if the business was ever registered as an extra-provincial business in Saskatchewan.
Articles
- This includes your business (entity) details in your home jurisdiction such as entity name, incorporation/amalgamation date, entity number, country and province.
- You must also include the nature of business, share details, authorized number of directors, restrictions and authorization attachment.
- You may be required to include articles of attachment.
Registered Office
- Physical address (location of Registered office which must be a Saskatchewan address).
- The registered office physical address cannot be a P.O. box number.
- Mailing address.
- Email address.
Director/Officer Information
- Includes first/middle/last names, email, physical, and ,ailing address of directors and/or officers.
- The role, director and/or officer must be identified.
- For officers, the office held must be provided.
Power of Attorney
- Only required when there is not a director or officer with a physical address in Saskatchewan, but a Power of Attorney may be optionally appointed if there is a Saskatchewan-resident director or officer.
Authorization Document from Current Home Jurisdiction
- To continue into Saskatchewan, a certificate or letter of authorization issued by the current home jurisdiction is required.
Fees
- Fees applicable to your incorporation will be displayed under the fees tab in the Corporate Registry application.

File your Business Corporation Continuance
- Log in to the Corporate Registry application.
- Under the heading ‘reserve a name or create a company' click on ‘business corporations’ and select the ‘continue into Saskatchewan' option.
- If your corporation was not previously registered, enter in your business name reservation number. (This number can be found in your 'my activity' page). Click ‘continue’.
- Complete the application and submit.
- The summary screen within the application will provide an overview of your registration.
Continue your Saskatchewan Business into Another Jurisdiction:
- Login to the Corporate Registry application.
- Enter your Saskatchewan entity number or name in the ‘update entity’ field.
- Click on your entity name that displays.
- Select the option ‘application for authorization to continue’.
- Complete the application and submit.
- The summary screen within the application will provide an overview of your submission.
- Once this transaction is completed. You can receive your authorization under ‘my activity’ in the top toolbar and select ‘submission’ to receive your authorization.
- You then will need to access the other provinces Corporate Registry to complete your continuance in that jurisdiction.
- Once discontinued, the Saskatchewan corporation has 30 days to register an XP registration – That means that a the power of attorney, registered office and possible updated name change is filed.
