Perform Map Check

How do I perform the map check?
Once a CAD file has been uploaded and the submission form saved, the Perform Map Check button will be activated. Once the Plan Submissions Online user has reviewed the map, they will visually confirm that the plan is georeferenced, the correct source parcels are impacted by the plan, the street names and LLD extensions are correct and the surrounding plan information is valid.  Note: this function is not available when an optional CAD file is uploaded for a plan purpose that does not require a CAD file.

My plan does not match with the map or is floating elsewhere?
Refer to georeferencing requirements in the Saskatchewan CAD File & Georeferencing Specification for acceptable methods for georeferencing.

My plan is slightly off from the base map?
The Saskatchewan cadastral mapping base is a mapping representation and the survey plan accuracy is expected to be slightly different.  Ultimately the new georeferenced survey plan will improve the spatial accuracy of the Saskatchewan cadastral mapping base.

How do I finish the Map Check?
On the Plan Review box use either the “Approve” button if everything looks correct or “Back” if you wish to change the CAD drawing and plan image and re-upload.

How do I project to Extended UTM Zone 13?
GPS software should contain a conversion utility to project your geographic data to Extended UTM Zone 13.

How current is the cadastral base map?
The Cadastral base map is continuously maintained, upon registration of a Transform Approval Certificate (TAC) or Feature Approval Certificate (FAC) the Cadastral will be updated within 15 minutes.

How current is the SaskGrid Township Fabric Map (STS)?
SaskGrid is published annually, generally around the end of January.
