by Land Description

You can access Land Registry information related to a land description, including parcel, parcel ties, titles, owners, ownership shares, title locks, and interests information, through the Search by Land Description menu.  Most rural lands are referenced through a section, township, range, and meridian, whereas most urban lands are referenced by a lot, block, and plan.  There are, of course, lands that fall outside of these standard land descriptions.  For this reason, an Other search criteria section is available.  Search using Other when the land description is located in the Prince Albert Settlement or the St. Laurent Settlement, or when the land description relates to a river lot, road allowance, or street/lane.  You can  refine your results to specifically return mineral or surface information, by selecting one of two search parameters: Surface Only or Mineral Only.

NOTES:
  • Whenever the Fee icon ($)  displays next to an icon or button, a fee may be charged for selecting that icon or button.  You can determine the amount of the fee (if any) by selecting the Fee icon ($)  located next to the icon or button that you wish to select.  If no Fee icon  displays, no fee will be incurred for selecting an icon or button.
  • The Client Reference field is for your convenience.  Although it will not be seen on the search results screen, it will appear on your bill.  This can be used to keep track of search fees and can be a file number, a name or another identifier you choose.

  • When you perform a Search by Land Description, you can capture the search results by downloading them into a CSV file (spreadsheet). There is also a Printer Friendly button on the results page so that the results can be printed completely on 8 1/2 x 11 paper.

    • The system’s default for Typical Rural and Other searches selects the  Return All Titles option.  This returns all parcel information connected to a land description.
