        ISC Empowers Students Through Technology

        ISC Empowers Students Through Technology

ISC is proud to announce a $25,000 donation through ISC Impact to the Neil Squire Society, a Canadian disability organization, to fund digital learning kits for students in schools across Saskatchewan. These kits will help ensure that no child is left behind in the classroom by providing accessible tools that enable them to thrive in their education and beyond.

“At ISC, we understand the power of accessible information and inclusive technology —it’s at the heart of the solutions we provide and the communities we serve,” says Shawn Peters, President and CEO of ISC. “The Solutions for Schools initiative is a natural extension of that purpose, helping to ensure that every student with disabilities in Saskatchewan has the tools they need to learn, participate fully and realize their full potential.”

The digital learning kits, tailored for students with learning disabilities, offer adaptive technologies and learning supports that help bridge gaps in traditional classroom settings. By empowering students with the tools they need to succeed, this initiative not only enhances educational outcomes but also fosters stronger communities and more resilient economies.

The impact is already being felt by the schools that have received the kits, too.

"The ISC Impact donation has been transformative for our schools, enabling us to create more inclusive and accessible learning environments,” Remarks Angie Balkwill, Supervisor of Intensive Support, School Services, Regina Public Schools. “These resources have empowered our students by providing them with the tools and support they need to thrive academically and socially. This partnership has truly made a meaningful difference in our division, fostering a culture of equity, inclusion and excellence."

The Neil Squire Society, which has been advancing the lives of Canadians with disabilities through technology for over 35 years, has overseen the distribution and support for these kits in Saskatchewan schools.

This latest donation builds on ISC’s growing relationship with the Neil Squire Society. Earlier this year, ISC provided additional funding to support the annual “Swing into Spring Princess Ball,” a signature Neil Squire event that raises funds and awareness for children and families supported by the organization. In addition, ISC employees are generously donating their time and skills, working directly with Neil Squire clients to help them build essential digital literacy and job-readiness skills, empowering them to enter or re-enter the workforce with confidence.

Regional Manager of the Neil Squire Society, Nikki Langdon said of the partnership, “We would like to thank ISC for their generous support for our community. They have enabled the Neil Squire Society to provide assistive technologyand supports for thousands of children in Reginaand Saskatoonwho learn differently. They have given us the funds needed to purchase supports and train educators and support staff on how to use these items to best support students in their academic growth. The Neil Squire Society thanks ISC for helping Neil Squire Society do the work it is honoured to do.”

ISC Impact is pleased to celebrate this partnership, and we look forward to the impact it can have on our province going forward.
